Plumber
BASIC PURPOSE:Maintain and repair general plumbing components to include toilets, urinals, faucets, hose bibbs, and drains. Installs, repairs, or replaces domestic hot and cold water lines. Repairs and replaces domestic hot water heat pumps, chilled water pumps, sump pumps, and sewage pumps. Leads troubshooting efforts and repairs steam, water, and gas distribution systems. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain and repair general plumbing components to include toilets, urinals, faucets, hose bibbs, and drains.2. Install, repair, or replace domestic hot and cold water lines.3. Repair and replace domestic hot water heat pumps, chilled water pumps, sump pumps, and sewage pumps.4. Install, test, and repair all sizes of backflow prevention devices - optional.5. Estimate jobs, layout, and material selection; 6. Interpret plumbing and mechanical system building prints; 7. Lead troubleshooting and repairing efforts on water distribution system components (backflow prevention devices – optional)8. Troubleshoot plumbing and sewage systems; 9. Leading junior technicians in complex repair work;10. Perform camera inspection of plumbing lines.11. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
