Owner-chef Jean-François Meteigner developed a following while cooking at L'Orangerie and Cicada. At his own place (a cachette is a little, secret hiding place), he combines traditional French fare -- foie gras, Provençal bouillabaisse, rack of lamb -- with a lighter, more modern cuisine reflected in dishes like Alaskan black cod with passion fruit-ginger-plum sauce.
