Not everyone from Ireland is so Guinness-soaked that they can't get anything done. Take Gerri Gilliland, for example. When her father retired in 2000, she bought his pub and exported it from Rosstrevor, Ireland to LA—timber by timber.
The bar's goal is to make guests feel like they've never left Ireland, but the Irish bartenders, teak bar and Celtic murals based on the Book of Kells attract more Santa Monica locals than expats. Still, it does stay true to what pubs are all
